I'm catching hell over on the US boards for this (I'll never learn eh!). There seems to be a lot of apathy on the issue over there too. It's a real shame.
the thing that really gets me about this is that in the same thread that told of the tanker crash these people started discussing prices for these fish... and that's on top of the last shipment that was a total loss!

Some responses doesn't surprise me one bit. They always put business interests ahead of people and the environment. But hey we have a majority of people like that in this country too.

Renowned artist and zoologist Roger Swainston has signed the petition and will be lending further support shortly.
Roger actually observed and documented the ecosystems of Clipperton over many hours underwater during the Jean Louis Etienne expedition of 2004-5.. so I can't think of anyone better to have on-board.
