use a sharp pair of scissors to cut off a branch, then attatch it to a piece of rock with a rubber band. after a week or 2 it should be growing on the rock.

yeh you can do it in the tank if its difficult to remove it. as long as you dont do too much then it shouldnt affect the water.

the good thing about doing it in the water is that it will be fully open and easier to see where to cut.

hard to say to be honest. i know that coral can be sensitive to shipping in my experiance, but it may cope better with fragging.

i have done a finger leather in the past that was a similar size, and i cut it clean in half. within the hour both parts were open and fine.

if it was me i would go for it.

Hack away! Some softies slime a lot when cut, so you may want to take it out and cut it outside the tank, leave it in a bucket of water to get it's sliming over with then rinse and put it back.
