Beware of using second hand live rock. Remember each tank is different, and your personal best chances of obtaining a smooth running system is to maximise the species of bacteria and algae available to you right from the start
You do this by buying new, fresh and properly cured
!!! It might be a tad dearer but hell, it will be more than a tad better!

You can't go wrong with Jason's rock, he's got some really niced shaped rock in the system.
Like Tommo has said, beware with buying rock from other people as it could harbour unwanted nasties, especially as you're setting up a new tank.
