Hi All,

Right, Although my tank was originally fish only, I have started introducing some live rock.

I now wish to start putting some corals in the tank but I dont know which would be best.

The tank is still the Betta Lifespace 1000 with T5 lighting a V2 600 Skimmer, 400 UV, Chaeto and phos reactor.

Occupants are:-

1 Cream Angel,
1 Yellow Tang,
1 Picasso Trigger
1 Valentini Puffer
1 Black and white Clown
4 Green Chromis
1 Cleaner wrasse
1 Longnose Hawkfish
1 Flame Angel
1 Convict Blenny

I am thinking of putting softies in there including Mushrooms and leathers.

Any other suggestions??

I'd stick with some fairly cheap vigorous types to start with as a few of those fish will take a bite or two from many corals.

finger leathers -various sinularia sp will do fine
Toadstool leather - sarcophyton sp should be ok but if it is a long stalked polyp one they may get bitten off
pulsing zenia will probably get pecked and eaten
green star polyps if they can get established will be ok - the encrusting one with the purple mat is the one to get
plain coloured zoas to start (i wouldn't invest in expensive coloured morphs initially)
Sun coral - lots of colour and can hold their own - Got 3 spare ones for sale too
large button polyps - nice flouro green under actincs - tough as they come - I've got that one too if you want some
Blue discosoma mushrooms (jason has soom nice ones atm)
Red discosomas & green ones too

theres some ideas to help fill the tank up!! .

pmed you about some sarcophytons, ive also got some odd bits and peices here(mushrooms and starpolyps)if you want to try
