Received my phosphate checker today from the States $63 inc carriage

Comes in a nice storage box

Contents
Tester, 2 Glass Cuvettes, Instructions, Laminated quick reference card and 6 reagents

Posted Image

Straightforward to use, switch on add 10ml of water to be tested to cuvette and place in checker then press button to zero

Posted Image

Checker then asks for sample with reagent added

Press button which starts a 3 min timer

Posted Image

After which it gives reading

Which in my case is 0.00, and even with the max tolerance would only give 0.04 so well happy with it.

Would be interesting to compare it side by side with the more expensive version

Does it use the same reagents as their original tester?

I dont think so as the sashets are marked HI 713 Checker, having said that if the original one uses 10ml samples I would have thought the reagent would be the same

I did order some extras though with the meter

Thanks, have received reply from Hanna today who confirm that the reagents are the same, just that the checker ones are packed 25 per box as opposed to 100 for the bench tester
