This evening I was measuring up my weir combs to make some new ones to cope with higher flow and I noticed the aiptasia in the weir box were looking a little skinny, so I got some mysis out of the freezer and defrosted for them. When I squirted it in, I was quite surprised how quickly they took them, they must have been really hungry poor things. Anyhow, thought I'd share the video with you, I apologise for the quality, but it was tricky leaning over the tank under the halides trying not to let the phone drop in the weir...

Blimey,30 odd views and no one noticed, my attempted humour must obviously be a little too subtle.

Presumably you noticed the two fish in the weir box, two long nosed hawkfish. Well, one of them has been in there since last August and it's replacement dissappeared last September. So Lindsay, you were partly right, they were still in the system, but not quite the pipework.

Just got to get them out now.

When I do the sump changeover I'll pull out the down pipes which are just pushed into the bullheads and hopefully they'll be flushed out, if not they should be easier to get out when the weirbox is empty.
