Brushing your dog benefits wildlife

It's that time of the year again- daily brushing & cursing myself for getting such a hairy dog. So imagine my surprise as i watch the fur wafting around the garden a little Sparrow flies down, collects some fluff & flies off again. Since then i've seen a few of the smaller birds doing the same. Guess it makes a cozy liner for their nest. It did make me chuckle & nice to know you're doing your bit for the wildlife

We used to brush our long haired GSD and leave the fur in clumps on top of the walls for the birds to pick up. Got to a point where they would wait for us to leave it!
