Ive got 2 18w compact daylight T5's which came off an old river reef and have already thinned out the stuff you gave me. Maybe try that

It needs a lot more light than people reckon. The light makes it grow and as it does it takes up the nutrients, it won't grow so well by nutrients alone. I had a 55 watt cfl over mine and it grows seriously well. My new cheato tanks will have two 25 watt low energy photographic daylight lamps over each one, I've been using one over zoas, palys and some some simple lps for a couple of months and they work great.

More light and more flow.

These are the ones I'm using, Lindsay uses them too..

Photography Light Bulb, Trumpet Top,5500K Daylight, 35w

except in a 25w variant, they are really bright. I've tried a number of energy saving daylight bulbs and they have all been pathetic, make sure what you get really is 5500K+
