if you want to see your shrimp out i would leave alone, i have 3 cleaner and 3 peppermint shrimp and 1 pain in the ar*e scarlet
They all just hide in overhangs and caves otherwise they get dive bombed although i haven't lost one for the last 2 years.
I DON'T KEEP CLAMS I KEEP WATER !!!

We've never had a problem with ours, nor the two long nosed hawkfish. If it was a toss up between a scarlet hawk and shrimp, it would be the fish everytime. The are real characters and a lot more entertaining than shrimp.

Put it back on your list and don't worry about the shrimp, you'll be glad you got the fish.

I've had 2 cleaners in the tank for a year now and the Scarlet hawk leaves them alone.
The hawk's been in the tank for around 9 months.

Keep your fish well fed and they will behave! :good:

Its fair to say that its a gamble when it comes to adding a scarlet Hawk with shrimps but as said if well fed there is a chance he will behave,we have one here that is a bad boy when it comes to shrimps but he is a great fish to watch so has a permanent home here lol.
