hi
i have a LNB and he was feeding very well and was generally full of beans
but 2 days ago he went off his food and showed some whitespots on him(not alot, maybe 3/4 per side)
kept a close eye on him
and today it looks to me and a reefer friend he is swollen, more on the left side tho
scales looked raised
and sometimes struggles to stay upright ???????????????????????/
he was feeding more today, but looked nervous to stray about due to a nasty damsel taking pop shots at him
any ideas on a dianogsis?
cheers

Had a feeling it was gonna go myself but I knew
if I took him out he would've died with the stress
after inspection on removal, the lump on the left side
was quite hard, compared to the right side
will have to try and source another as it was the most sociable
fish in there
jas, get those favia's up to cheer me up

I must say, that the one Jas got for me on the previous Maldives fish list has been the picture of health so far, eats as much mysis and brine as he can get. I know Jas just placed another maldives order, if you are super quick he maybe able to do a late minute addition.

if i haven't got one from this side of the border might be putting in an order for one
along with my ever gowing list of wants, regal angel, purple tang, crosshatch trigger etc etc
i bought mine quite big 6", so who knows how old it could've been..........
it was an easy addition to care for, 2/3 days and eating any type of frozen food
then after 2 weeks eating new life spectrum pellets
never looked near an acan or any coral for that matter
and imo, much more intresting than the normal yellow addition of a yellow tang

Sounds like a cyst or tumour, doomed unfortunately, as yopu discovered. Im sorry to hear about the loss
Sorry i didnt see this!
Please PM me with problems if you have made a post. Im a busy boy again!
Longnoses are generally great fish. Hate copper, and generally well behaved with any coral!
