brief background-running fairly large sps dominated tank, low nutrient non zeo, fauna bac and s,lugals and additional aminos,no visable gha, some sand sino.
have had an ongoing problem with grape caulerpa could not shift it,its very sneaky grows under rockwork and damages base of sps if left
tried lettuce nudi(file fish ate them)tangs not interested, gold spot rabbit fish not interested!!
lighting two 400w,14k blv guissman fittings with pls blue eco lamps two each unit.additionally a 80w t5 three inches above back brace bar.driving me nuts i was checking par of blvs and by chance checked t5(blue plus)suprised at 300+par and changed it for an old pure actinic(allso changed pls for coralife 03 actinics,9w bought on ebay from us,cheap lamps but worrying postage, unable to find a uk equivelent)
all grape died within a week-rabbit and tangs ate the dead and dying stuff-the tank has bee totaly clear of same for a month now,i could not be more pleased!!
thought i would pass on for other people in similar cics! as it was a cause and poss remidy i had not even considered and suffered for a few years.
