As per the title I noticed this thing on my gsp after it closed up for the night.
I assume its some kind of algae but I would apreciate an expert opinion.

Hi si looks like caulerpa racemosa to me, imo you don't want it in your tank as once the rhizoids ( roots ) grip the rockwork it will spread and you will struggle to remove it without a natural predator.

I pulled it out today but I doubt I got all of it so I guess I will be pulling more out as time goes on.
