Just to let you all know that there will be a new competition running soon. It will consist of a LPS frag (frags will be limited) to see who can get the most growth over 6 months just to give everyone a chance. There will be a prize at the end of it too. Please post below if your anr interested so we get an idea of numbers.

Cheers
Joey

I wouldn't wor.ry about halides Vs T5, this is lps so it may have to be hidden away in the bottom of the sps tanks

I'll run a test coral under my halides but bow out when it comes to the judging ;) ;) ;) as it wouldn't be fair to enter properly as I have a REALLY big pot of reef pellets :D

Prizes for first second and third I think Joey, as long as more than three enter - although if only three enter we will all get a really big frag to start with.............mmmmmm............acan would be ok, :P , duncan quite nice too :D

Im sure there are more people out there who would love a free frag and a chance of winning a prize, even if you come 2nd or 3rd you'll still get one. Got about 2 weeks left before i will announce what will be fragged, so lets see more names down please

Marcus, I think your prizes will be safe. Judging by the last growing competition we did, about everyone killed their frags!

What would also be interesting would be for folk to record the conditions that they keep their frag for post-event analysis.

Excellent! But you'd better make sure the coral is unusual otherwise we'll all be rushing off to the LFS to find the biggest coral of the same morph! I'd suggest a rainbow Acan or a multicolour chalice or better still a tie-dye Scolly - although best not to frag the Scolly as they don't always heal so well. Just send us all a Scolly - i'm sure you'd be impressed with the results :)
