Hi all, it's been awhile since i placed any pics or even posted, i have been busy. Life is hecktic, then you get a fish tank!

In any case the photos don't do it justice as the colours look a bit washed out. Never mind !

By the way karnivor if you're reading... where did you get the fitting for the ph probe?( threaded female to threaded union???)/ I siliconed the probe end (threaded union to a slip fitting. i've looked every where but need the right part.) I think when i go to calibrate it next, it's going to leak.

calium reactor effluent 60 ml per minute 80 bubbles per minute ph in the reactor 6.3 . Uplifted after air chamber , 7.5 . tank effluent dkh 30 . tank kh 8

also , where can i get a peristaltic pump which will deliver above 80 ml/ min. the grotech sp 4800 will do up to 80ml max. does anyone know of a brand/ model that they are happy with. peferably adjustable and darn quiet???? Most ajustable ones i have seen are annoyingly noisy!

P.s., Thanks lidnsey for your help on uploading the pics.
enjoy

The light that i have, is meant for hydroponic plant growth. I thought I might try it out as en experiment. It's 12 le.d.s., 9 are red , and 3 blue. Very similar diodes to the aqua ray type. In theory, it is suppose to promote leaf vitality (not sure for chaeto. but if it grows it will be a step ahead of what I've been using previous-spiral light type).
I think it looks cool when it's on , anyway....
here's where i bought it. i paid just under £30. the lamp draws 15 watts of power.

So far so good. I've had it on for 2 weeks with no negative effects.

Keep us informed on the lamp,i think karnivore is also giving this sort of lamp a go over his chaeto.

The peri pump i use is awful its one of the blue ones off ebay, its the loudest thing i have ever heard and really pisses my neighbours off as its outside near their bedroom. I know a couple of people who have used the ASPEN pumps from ebay i think they will pump more.

Your tank looks great, some lovely growth to the corals
