Whilst it does appear good value, whilst it would do the job, it is a bit too basic and missing a few features which may not seem that important at first.

The lack of extra prefilters means that the membrane will have to do more work, and will consequently have a reduced lifespan and the tds output will be higher. The lack of a DI will not help either to reduce the tds post-membrane. Yes, you could bolt a di canister onto the output, but you would get thru di resin very quickly due to the higher tds output from the membrane which has minimal pre-filtration. It doesn't include a 'membrane flush' kit either which further reduces membrane and DI life nor does it include an auto-off valve which generally results in wet floors and 'the look' from swmbo.

Save your money and get a better spec version. Vyair do some very good models owned by several reefers on the forums.
