Nice photo Marcus. The linkia looks quite large, or is it deceptive?

it would span the palm of my hand for sure, maybe a bit bigger. I love these creatures - no-one as yet I believe has discovered what they actually live on but the aquarium is a great place to observe. This one was living under one of the larger ecnophilias then, as the 1st tunicate started shedding its skin out it came, marched across the sand and has been here for a coup[le of days now.

they disappear in the rocks for a week or two so must harvest something living on the dark side ! , then they spend a week or two high up on the glass grazing something invisible from the algae - but not the visible algae itself as the algae remains looking uneaten.

i had a clam eaten by a blue lincia !! it settled ontop, forced the clam open and spent 3 days eating it. maybe its why they grow big :D

They're lovely starfishes, I like them.

Had my blue linka for almost 3 years now.
