I have been using a Guiseman Twin Razor Light Fitting over my 200ltr tank with 2 x 39w Aquablue Plus tubes, I have now changed one of these tubes for a 39w Actinic Plus Powerchrome. The look I have now is bluer, and I think much better, but, are my corals now getting the same amount of light even though it does not look as bright as before?
Will it be enough light for them? I have mainly softies with just a few LPS.

Hi Pam, in short no. The bluer the tube less useable light emitted from it i.e the higher the kelvin rate the less light emitted from the tube. So a 20k x 39 watt lamp will not emitt the same light as a 10k x 39 watt lamp where as a 6.5k lamp will emitt more useable light than a 10k lamp. Depending on the depth of your tank and what LPS you have depends on whether you have enough light from the tubes fitted.
