Oky, Ive done it at last... (said with a decidedly smug grin )

Here's some footage of the now functional wave plunger running on the new intertidal tank at low tide.

I've only set it to a 6" stroke at the moment, so its running at about 50% of what it could potentially manage, but the effect is quite good at this stage I think for the minimal 15W motor employed for the task of shunting 300 gallons of water backward and forward. Theres allot of water shifting around even without any pumps turned on.

Surprisingly the effect isn't dampened at all when the sequences are running. I suspect this is simply due to the direction I'm firing them, which is upward at 45deg from the bottom, rather than horizontally which would I assume normally work against any wave action.

Took a look at this on Manhattan R,looks great, very effective, works so well you would think with the right motor it could work mounted at quite a distance from the display tank.

Very impressive (cool music too)
If you have time could you add a little write up of how you made it and what parts were used

Thanks
